Jenny is a MAGICIAN.  I had a short engagement and bought a beautiful dress off the rack.  It's a silk charmeuse sheath that was clearly made for a taller, bustier woman, not a petite person like me. This is a very tricky fabric and hard to tell how different nips and tucks will affect the line.  She had several ideas and we tried a couple of them before figuring out the best road to take.  I never lost faith.  She is so fast and, as another reviewer mentioned, has a very fair price (compared to a much less skilled alterations shop I used before).  I would highly recommend her.  Really, she works magic.

Jenny is so good at what she does!  I've had my wedding dress and several other dresses altered by her and they've all come out great!  She really cares about the clothes and how you will look in them.  She gave me her honest opinion on what is possible and what to expect from the alterations.  I really appreciate that!  She's also altered a suit for my husband and it fit him perfectly.

Jenny did an amazing job on my wedding dress!  I felt very comfortable, and she brainstormed solutions with me on how to best alter my dress.  I had my dress quoted at a different shop in Seattle, and I was told there that the dress wouldn't fit and that I should buy a new one.  I left that shop in tears.  Jenny was the complete opposite--confident, knowledgeable, and professional.  She got the dress done in a couple of months and it fit perfectly!  Jenny to the rescue!  I would highly recommend.

Jenny Manes is wonderful.  Her work is incredible.  I have had two pieces altered by her. The first item was a bridesmaid dress about 12 years ago and she did a great job, so I immediately thought of her for my wedding dress alterations.  
My wedding dress was two layers: a silk slip ( I was sent a size larger than ordered) with a single thin overlay made of tulle, lace, and beads.  The dress arrived only three weeks before my wedding (I had scheduled with Jenny in advance) and the intricate alterations needed meant that we would have just one fitting to get it right.  I should have been really nervous, especially since the dress was nearly two sizes too big in some places, and extremely delicate.  Jenny was so calm and reassured me that she could do the work.  I honestly left her shop feeling at ease.  Picking my dress up was one of my favorite moments, I couldn't believe how perfectly it fit and looked.  The bias of the slip was preserved and the neck line was as gorgeous as it was intended to be. The overlay was taken in just right, the lace and beading had been moved without flaws, and the hem was just the right length. I couldn't wait to wear it on my wedding day!
Do not hesitate one bit to use Jenny for your alterations needs, she is simply amazing!

Jenny was super nice, very professional, and always fast to reply.  She answered all of my questions and paid close attention to my needs and wants.  She also paid attention to the small little movements I made while in the dress, to see if I was uncomfortable, signaling to her that some adjustments needed to be made.
The dress, which is made of a delicate material and with lots of layers and some beading, came out perfectly.  It fits like a dream, it's comfortable, the train is perfect and she showed me how to use it.  I'm super happy.  There was a tiny thing she missed but as soon as I brought it up, she took care of it immediately.
I'm super satisfied with my dress and recommend her highly!  I'm so glad I went with her instead of [another shop] who were very rude and unprofessional!

Excellent, a life saver.  Not the cheapest in town, but for something important I wouldn't go to anyone else.  She resurrected my wedding dress from the ills of another seamstress, and it was perfect.
Another dress I later brought was handled with similar precision and attention to detail.
She's up front about costs, sometimes offering alternative and creative solutions to stay in budget.
Can't recommend her enough.

Jenny altered my wedding dress and did an incredible job.  She listened to all of my requests and implemented them perfectly.  Her Saturday appointments were very convenient, and there's plenty of street parking.  I even had my mother-in-law meet my mom for the first time at her shop during one of my fittings.  The big couch & waiting area is perfect for friends and family to chat and connect.  I would definitely recommend Jenny for any big occasion!

If you are looking for someone with years of experience and an amazing attention for detail...go see Jenny!!!  My partner and I were somewhat new to town, were looking for someone to alter her wedding dress and  to create something totally custom for me, and found some pretty good reviews online for Jenny.  
She has a great little shop in Magnolia.  She accepted us like family, worked with me on my ideas and designs for a custom made skirt and top (which ended up being two tops because we had so much fun).  This was the first fully custom outfit I have ever had made and didn't know what to expect.  I had very specific ideas of what I was looking for, down to the colors and buttons.  Jenny was wonderful to work with because she was able to see clearly my vision as well, but also tell what was going to work and not work. We worked pretty closely together for several weeks and I always looked forward to my appointments.  If something didn't work, Jenny knew exactly what and had it fixed without a glitch.  
I was amazed with how organized she was with our scheduling and her ability to know exactly how much time everything would take.  She was able to tell me exactly what to get from the fabric store and even once helping me shop for some of the final items. She fit it down to even what undergarments I was going to wear and how I sit and walk. LOVE that kind of detail. 
Jenny and I had FUN creating my outfit and the finished product was incredible!!!  It was classic but funky, unique yet completely appropriate for the occasion.  She listened to what I was looking for and helped me create my perfect outfit and it matched my boots perfectly as well! Thanks Jenny! It was a total hit and I loved it!!!
